Gone are the days when vegetables were merely considered a side dish. There are more vegetarians and vegans than ever, as well as those who are simply trying to squeeze more veggies into their diet. Learning to pair the right vegetables with your favorite vegan wine makes the process even more delicious.
Pairing wines with vegetable-focused dishes — including vegan and vegetarian recipes — is more simple than you may think, and it’s also an opportunity to get creative in the kitchen. From beans to potatoes to leafy greens, our infographic below outlines the vegetables that pair best with each of our organic, Chilean wines. Check out Natura’s vegan wine pairings below:
For lighter, vibrant veggies such as beets, peppers, onions and leafy greens, we recommend pairing with our light, herbaceous Natura Sauvignon Blanc. Another favorite white wine pairing of ours is to mix the sweetness of fresh corn, even grilled, with the subtle fruit aromas of Natura Chardonnay.
Savory, earthy vegetables such as mushrooms and root vegetables pair especially well with the light, well-balanced taste of Natura Pinot Noir. For a bolder, more full-bodied experience, we recommend pairing our Cabernet Sauvignon or Malbec with black beans, peppers or garlic dishes.
