5 of Our Favorite U.S. Places to See Fall Foliage

Fall Foliage In Park With Park Bench
It’s that time of year again, and Fall is one of our favorite times to be outdoors, with a couple of bottles of the best Chilean wines. The air is crisp, and the colors are absolutely incredible. Luckily no matter where you live in the United States, you don’t have to travel too far to take in the phenomenon of Fall foliage. We have shared below some of our favorite places to enjoy the leaves in fiery reds, deep oranges and vibrant golds.

Fall In Vermont
Vermont is one of the most well-known places in the country to take in the Fall foliage, and with good reason.

Visit: The central and southern parts of the state, the Lake Champlain Islands, areas near Burlington, and the Green Mountains

Visit Vermont’s Tourism website for a printable list of more than 20 drives around the state ranging anywhere from 30 to 210 miles long, as well as regional and historical points of interest, apple orchards, and other local attractions to check out along the way.

New York Fall Day
In New York, you can mix nature and the city in one trip. Explore the parks of New York City by day, and restaurants and nightlife after dark.

Visit: Central Park, Prospect Park in Brooklyn, or Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx

Colorado Fall Day
Colorado is a great place to take in the Fall colors, as well as some incredible wildlife such as elk, mule deer, beavers and bald eagles.

Visit: Estes Park, Kebler Pass, Rocky Mountain National Park

Texas Fall Day
In early-to-mid November, Fall foliage arrives in Texas. We recommend taking in the colors while hiking, birdwatching, or enjoying a picnic with some vegan wine.

Visit: Daingerfield, Martin Creek, Lake Bob Sandlin, and Martin Dies Jr. State Park

Yosemite Fall Day
Yosemite in California is a great place to celebrate Fall, and by visiting this time of year, you won’t have to worry too much about crowds and high hotel prices.

What are you waiting for? Pack a bag (be sure to include a sweater and some organic wine to keep you warm at night) and go check it out!
