Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival, Newark: This New Jersey city was gifted 2000 cherry trees in 1927. Today, Newark boasts more than 5000. Events include a guided tour, 10K run (through the blooms, if you need some extra motivation!), and Bloomfest with live music and cultural demos.
