For some people, “date night” includes a nice dinner and a bottle of wine, followed by a movie or live music. While that can certainly be fun, sometimes it’s nice to shake things up and try something different.
With the warm summer weather rolling in, why not heat things up with a daytime date that includes sunshine, outdoorphins, and yes, good organic wine. It sounds like the perfect day to us! Here are four outdoorsy date ideas for you and your better half to enjoy:
Stand Up Paddleboarding
This is an easy outdoor date idea because you can do it just about anywhere and set your own pace. In addition to being a great workout, stand up paddleboarding is a great way to talk, soak in the serenity of your surroundings, and of course, get a good laugh when someone takes a splash into the water!
Let us start off by warning you that this may not be the best idea for a first date. But if you two are comfortable with one another, partner yoga is a great way to strengthen your connection while having some fun.
A form of Hatha yoga where partners support each other in modified yoga poses, partner yoga has recently become a popular concept that’s been interpreted in a variety of ways, including AcroYoga and Couples Yoga. When practicing partner yoga together, be present and focus on each other during your class or practice — and try not to take it too seriously. Once you’ve said “namaste,” we recommend cooling off with a glass of chilled organic wine.
You’ll have some of your best conversations while you’re on the trail. Your heart’s pumping, your head is clear, and the fresh air is flowing. Make a list of peaks you’d like to conquer, and get started on crossing them off together.
Pack a picnic lunch and a bottle of pre-chilled organic vegan wine (we recommend our Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir or Rose which all have screw tops) and take a break when you reach a scenic meadow or overlook along the trail. A hike can also be the perfect place for a picturesque proposal. Just be sure to arrange for a photographer to capture the moment from a spot with the perfect view!
A kayaking adventure allows you to work out those upper-body muscles and get in sync with your partner- literally! Working together to properly coordinate your strokes improves coordination and teamwork skills, and it will feel amazing to take a dip in the cool water on a hot afternoon!
